DESCRIPTION:In the context of the Ukraine war\, the Federal Republic of Ge
 rmany\, together with other EU member states\, is supplying weapons to a c
 risis area and armaments policy is once again moving up the agenda. In the
  future\, Germany and France are planning major armament projects in partn
 ership across all branches of the armed forces\, be it "FCAS" to replace t
 he current Eurofighters\, helicopters\, satellite-based communications sys
 tems or a joint tank in cooperation with other EU states. But all these pr
 ojects have stalled in different ways - with devastating consequences for 
 the future of Franco-German relations and the European security architectu
 re.
