 war that followed represent a turning point that can only be understood in
  the light of decades of developments in the Middle East. Uriel Kashi\, to
 ur guide and director of the Beit Ben Yehuda Youth Education Center in Jer
 usalem\, will give an overview of key events such as the Islamic Revolutio
 n in Iran\, the Arab Spring and global influences such as climate change a
 nd the demand for raw materials. He will then turn his attention to curren
 t challenges: the political debate in Israel after October 7\, prospects f
 or the Gaza Strip\, regional effects in Lebanon and Syria\, for example\, 
 and the possible consequences of Donald Trump's return.\nThe event is a co
 operation between the German-Israeli Society AG Bonn and CASSIS.\n\nRegist
