DESCRIPTION:The lecture will be held by Prof. Dr. Hans-Jürgen Bieling and
  is part of the lecture series "Infrastructure\, Capitalism\, and Dependen
 cy in the Digital Age".\n\nThis lecture explores the growing intersection 
 between infrastructure policy and geoeconomics in the context of globaliza
 tion. It introduces the concept of the "infrastructure-geoeconomic nexus" 
 to explain how developments in global infrastructure are influenced by fin
 ancialized high-tech capitalism and shifting power dynamics\, particularly
  between the U.S. and China. It further investigates how these forces resh
 ape infrastructure across transportation\, energy\, and digital communicat
 ion and discusses how these changes can be conceptually framed and empiric
 ally analyzed.
