Redesigns, optimizations and conceptions of the online presence of CASSIS are an equally important part of the area of responsibility and entail a large, creative and early autonomous design freedom.

The CASSIS office is seeking, beginning March 01, 2023 (initially limited until 08/31/2013; extension possible), a
 
Student Assistant (SHK/WHF)
(6h/week).
 
The position is to support the CASSIS office in the maintenance and design of the Center's web presence. The focus is on maintaining and constantly updating the website of a scientific center in the excellent research and teaching environment of the University of Bonn with a strong public outreach. Redesigns, optimizations and conceptions of the online presence of CASSIS are an equally important part of the area of responsibility and entail a large, creative and early autonomous design freedom.
 
 
Your tasks:

 
- Continuous maintenance of the CASSIS website in independent exchange and coordination with all parts of the center.

- Identifying and implementing optimization needs

- Creative and meaningful digital redesigns as needed for the entire CASSIS online presence

- Coordination with the responsible departments of the university administration

 
Your profile:
 
- Demonstrable PC skills, especially in the content management area (ideally Plone5, Wordpress),

- General technical understanding of PC hardware and software,

- Experience with graphic design programs such as Canva and GIMP an advantage,

- Basic understanding of CSS and PHP are advantageous,

- Bachelor's degree preferably in Political Science (International Relations, International Political Economy) or related fields at least in the second half of the standard period of study with first class grades,

- excellent command of written and spoken German and English, experience in other languages advantageous,

- initial experience in political science research with a focus on foreign and security policy advantageous,

- professional experience in international correspondence and communication or study abroad,

- proven ability to work independently and in a goal-oriented manner,

- outgoing personality with strong communication skills, strong team orientation and high social competence.
