Profile 

Miriam Siemes is a research fellow at the chair of international relations and global politics of technology.
Prior to joining CASSIS, Miriam worked at the German Agency for International Cooperation, and interned at the State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia as well as at two international offices of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation. A Fulbright scholar since 2019, she received her MA from Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in May 2020. In spring 2020, she represented SAIS at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Her team qualified for the international rounds as the regional runner-up in the Mid-Atlantic Rounds.
Miriam is also a nonresident fellow at the International Justice Initiative, in which she conducts research for Professor Daniel B. Magraw on questions of international environmental law. She holds a BA in Liberal Arts from the University College Maastricht and spent her semester abroad at the Singapore Management University for which she received the 2017 Duo-Singapore Exchange Fellowship Award.
