Profile
Dr. Heiko Borchert is the owner and managing director of Borchert Consulting & Research AG, which specializes in security strategy issues. He is co-director of the Defense AI Observatory at Helmut Schmidt University/University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg, Senior Research Fellow at the German Institute for Defense and Strategic Studies, and an expert at The Hague Center for Strategic Studies. Dr. Borchert is a member of the editorial board of the Zeitschrift für Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik and the Defence Horizon Journal. He studied international relations, business administration, economics and law at the University of St. Gallen, where he also earned his doctorate.
