Profile
Dr. Friedbert Pflüger is Head of the European Cluster for Climate, Energy and Resource Security (EUCERS)at the Center for Advanced Security, Strategic and Integration Studies (CASSIS) at the University of Bonn and Managing Partner of Bingmann Pflüger International GmbH in Berlin.
In addition, Dr. Pflüger is a Senior Fellow (non-resident) of the Atlantic Council of the U.S., Senior Advisor to the Global Gas Centre of the World Energy Council, member of the Strategic Advisory Board of the Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility (IKEM) and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Zukunft Gas e.V.
The former press spokesman for then German President Richard von Weizsäcker was a member of the German Bundestag from 1990 to 2006. In 1998, Pflüger became Chairman of the Bundestag Committee on EU Affairs and in 2005 Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Defense.
