09 July 2024 | 06:15-07:45, p.m | Lecture Hall VII, Main Building, University of Bonn

Duisburger Hafen AG (duisport) is the owner and management company of the Port of Duisburg, the largest inland port in the world. As the most important trade and transportation hub in the European hinterland, duisport is called at by 20,000 ships and 25,000 trains every year, which are loaded and unloaded at 9 container terminals with a total of 21 container gantry cranes, 4 import coal terminals, 2 roll-on roll-off facilities and 19 facilities for liquid cargo handling. The physical protection of these and other facilities in particular represents an often underestimated challenge for duisport with its locally fragmented structure. The increasing digital and analog threat situation makes trading indispensable.
