Profile

Dr. Johanna Möhring studies how states bring power to bear in the 21st century. She is Chercheure associée at the Centre Thucydide in Paris and has teaching engagements at Sciences Po Grenoble. She also is co-founder and ambassador of Women In International Security (WIIS) France having served as its president from 2018 to 2022.

Johanna Möhring holds a PhD in Political Science from the Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas with a dissertation on defence cooperation in Europe. She graduated with an MA in International Relations from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC, with a Diploma in Russian language and civilisation from the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO) in Paris, and an MA in Public policy/ Public administration from the University of Konstanz.
