How Resilient is Our Energy Supply?

September 9th, 2025 / 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. / Online Event

The power outage in Spain in April 2025 highlighted how vulnerable European energy networks are – and how central they have become to our societies. Energy networks not only supply households and businesses with electricity, they also ensure economic stability, public order, and the ability to act for states.

As part of the Franco-German Strategic Dialogue, we want to analyze the resilience of these grids with German and French experts and discuss how Europe's energy infrastructure can be made more crisis-proof. This also involves exploring the consequences of energy policy decisions taken in recent years and how current challenges – such as digitalization, decentralization, climate policy, and geopolitical tensions – are further exacerbating the security situation. What role do France and Germany play in this important strategic realignment?

The event will be held in German.
