In an interview with the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung (NOZ), Prof. Dr Ulrich Schlie talks about the lack of a German National Security Strategy. Schlie has urgently called for the National Security Strategy, which has been postponed by the Federal Government, and warned against watering down the content of the project.

Schlie told the "Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung" (NOZ): "We urgently need a strategy. And we also urgently need to change something in our security policy." Every sentence in the planned National Security Strategy must "be clear".

Ulrich Schlie is director of the Center for Advanced Security, Strategic and Integration Studies (CASSIS) and Henry Kissinger Professor of Security and Strategic Studies at the Institute for Political Science and Sociology.
