In an interview with MDR SACHSEN, Dr. Frank Umbach advocates a price ultimatum for gas in order to prevent the West from being paraded by Putin. He criticized the fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin was using the gas supplies as an instrument of pressure against the West. Umbach referred to the EU's proposal to offer Russia a price ultimatum for a certain amount of gas. In this way, one can determine the game more oneself and not have to look like a rabbit at the snake every morning to see how much gas is being delivered or not.
