Profile
Mara Nazaretyan has been working as a research associate at the Henry Kissinger Chair for Security and Strategic Studies since July 2026. Her research focuses on the use of modern technologies in armed conflicts, radicalization, terrorist organizations, and security studies.
Mara Nazaretyan studied Strategy and International Security at the University of Bonn. In her master’s thesis, she analyzed the use of AI-supported technologies in the repatriation of European nationals from the al-Hol and Roj camps. Previously, she worked as a research assistant at the Center for Advanced Security, Strategic and Integration Studies (CASSIS), as an associate research fellow at the geopolitical think tank APRI Armenia, and as a student assistant at the Center for European Integration Studies at the University of Bonn.
