Your Career in Security - Security Policy Career Day

Your Career in Security - Security Policy Career Day

May 9 2026 / from 10:00 am / IMPULSE House (Adenaueralle 131, 53113 Bonn)

Few policy areas have received more funding in recent years than security and defense policy. At the same time, young college graduates in particular are facing increasing difficulties entering the workforce after completing their studies. This is where the Bonn Chapter of the Young Society for Security Policy (JGSP) aims to make a difference with a new, innovative format: A security policy career day is designed to give young, interested people the opportunity to engage with employers in the field of security policy. We are targeting both prospective graduates and those just starting their careers, as well as those looking to change career paths.

During several discussion sessions at our career day, participants will have the opportunity to engage with six speakers in a relaxed atmosphere, ask their questions, and gain insight into various career paths in the field of security policy.

The event is organized in cooperation with the Center for Advanced Security, Strategic and Integration Studies (CASSIS) at the University of Bonn, the Young Society for Security Policy (JGSP) Bonn Chapter, the Bonn University Group for Foreign and Security Policy (BHAS), and the Association of Bundeswehr Reservists (VdRdBw).

Registration is required to attend the event.
