The plant is now Europe's largest ammunition factory. The opening ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor Klingbeil, NATO Secretary General Rutte, Federal Minister of Defense Pistorius, and Armin Papperger, CEO of the Rheinmetall defense company, among others.
