The Institute of Political Science at the University of Bonn is looking for a research assistant (50%, permanent) to coordinate the English-language Master's degree program “Strategy and International Security”, which is run in close cooperation with the Center for Advanced Security, Strategic and Integration Studies (CASSIS), as soon as possible. The position is located in the area of program management and coordination and offers a diverse range of tasks at the interface between science, teaching and administration.
The Master's degree course in Strategy and International Security combines security policy analysis with strategic reflection and international perspectives. It is aimed at national and international students with an interest in foreign and security policy issues, transatlantic relations and global challenges. The advertised position plays a central role in the administrative and organizational support of the course.
The tasks include, among others
- coordination and quality assurance of the degree programme,
- participation in accreditation processes,
- applicant management and communication with interested parties,
- organization of study-related events,
- maintenance of the degree programme website,
and a teaching commitment of 2 semester hours per week (SWS).
Vorausgesetzt wird ein abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (Master oder äquivalent). Erfahrungen im Bereich Studiengangsmanagement, sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift sowie Kenntnisse im Bereich Internationale Beziehungen und Sicherheitsforschung sind wünschenswert. Weitere Fremdsprachenkenntnisse, Organisationstalent und ein sicheres, kommunikatives Auftreten runden das Profil idealerweise ab.
