According to Dr. Joachim Weber, the long-term absence of US arms deliveries to Ukraine will encourage the advance of Russian troops in Ukraine. Without American air defense systems, Weber said, Ukrainian cities and especially Ukraine's critical infrastructure are at the mercy of Russian air strikes. Dr. Joachim Weber also gave his assessment of the death of the deputy commander of the Russian navy, Mikhail Gudkov. Although he saw the killing of the deputy commander as part of Ukraine's “spectacular individual successes” against Russian military personnel, it is not to be expected that the Russian offensive in Ukraine can be halted by the targeted killing.
