In addition, Prof. Dr. Heinemann-Grüder explains that US weapons stocks have shrunk due to previous deliveries to Ukraine. The political scientist believes that the halt of US weapons supplies will jeopardize the security of Ukraine's large cities. In the short term, the recently opened gaps in Ukrainian air defense can't be filled again.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Heinemann-Grüder is a senior fellow at CASSIS, adjunct professor of political science at the University of Bonn and senior research at Bonn International Center for Conversion. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the German Government for Civil Conflict Prevention and Peace Promotion.
